The problems we AddressĀ

Despite providingĀ 80% of Liberia's agricultural laborĀ and producingĀ 93% of the country’s food, Liberian women face a profound financial inclusion gap:

  • The Gender Credit Gap: OnlyĀ 23% of womenĀ have an account at a financial institution, compared toĀ 58% of menĀ as of 2024.

  • Collateral Barriers: Traditional banks require assets thatĀ 86% of womenĀ do not own (land/property).

  • OnlyĀ 12% of Liberian womenĀ hold formal bank accounts.

  • Rural dwellers face extreme barriers, with onlyĀ 6% of rural womenĀ accessing formal banking.

  • Physical banking infrastructure is concentrated in urban centers, leaving rural communities with almost no access to basic financial services.

Community-Based Lending

Utilizing SuSu groups and local field agents to bring financial services directly to your community, bypassing traditional banking barriers.
